Cima Ingranaggi S.p.A. has manufactured precision gears for a wide range of complex applications in industrial machinery, automotive, aviation and racing cars sectors since 1946.

Thanks to Instant Developer the company's IT department has designed Cima@Net, a suite of web applications which integrates BAAN management software system and deals with a number of corporate processes peculiar to Cima's organization.

A noteworthy feature of Cima@Net is the Invoicing application. It consists of an SCM module which allows you to exchange administrative data with the company's suppliers, making the related processes simpler and easier to check.

In order to ensure full and safe integration between the systems, the data made available to suppliers are managed via full-ajax web applications and hosted in an external data-center. A web-services layer exposes the services needed for integration with the various corporate management systems.

Both Microsoft technologies (at the data center) and Java/Oracle technologies (within the company) are used in this solution. The whole code is generated and compiled with Instant Developer, you just need to select the target architecture you are interested in.
