Home/Integration into Portals

Enterprise portals are increasingly widespread. Therefore, it is increasingly important to integrate full or partial web RIAs into portals.

Web RIAs created with In.de are prearranged for such an integration.

  • The layout is fully customizable so to match up with the receiving portal's layout.
  • A viewing mode called WidgetMode is available allowing you to hide all interface elements apart from the form being used.
  • There are various bidirectional methods for communication with the portal or other portlets and webparts available, e.g.: session sharing, Javascript event notification, parameter communication via query strings and so on.
  • Single sign-on authentication can be achieved via the portal login system.

Some examples of portals in this respect are LifeRay Enterprise Portal in Java and Sharepoint Portal Server in .NET.

The chart below represents the integration structure of a web application created with In.de into a portal created with LifeRay Enterprise Portal.
