Banca Passadore & C. is a privately owned independent bank founded in Genoa in 1888 serving private individuals as well as corporations. The Bank now has 20 subsidiaries and agencies located in Liguria, Lombardy, Piedmont, Emilia Romagna and Tuscany.
Banca Passadore has always regarded the advancements of IT and automation in support of its banking services as an asset and has often been ahead of the rest of the Italian banking system in this respect. These investments have made it possible for the Bank to provide widely recognized top quality services to its clients.
In view of this continuous innovation process, a few years ago Banca Passadore's IT department chose Instant Developer to migrate its counter and Internet banking procedures onto a web-based environment.
Instant Developer was applied within the legacy infrastructure based on mainframe and COBOL. The compiling language was Java and the application server was WebSphere.
A large number of applications have been designed. An example is the application to manage bank statements at theCounter. In addition, the application can produce documents to be delivered to the account holder reporting charts where the debit and credit developments for the period are shown.
The same information can be viewed on the Internet Banking version. An Interactive Bank Statement enables clients to conduct advanced searches via the Internet, manage the column order and finally generate a PDF file for printing and online consultation.

One of the applications designed for management control was called "Profitability". It is a data warehouse application allowing managers to monitor income development over time and display the relevant information filtered by client, group, service or geographical area. |

Finally, In.de has been employed to create a web-based application for Document Management designed to access all types of banking forms as well as documents produced via online transactions or resulting from batch processing. The application is used by all of the Bank's staff.
